We'll be giving Distension as an event a try. There will be no schedule, all players will start at a high rank, and stats will only be saved for a short time. Enjoy!

2012: Distension returns!

It's true -- I'm bringing back Distension. Truth be told, I do plan to make some serious changes, however.
First off, (probably) all ships will be available from the start (except for Tactical Ops).
Second, the differences in energy between a ship of rank 1 and a ship of rank 70 will be much, much less. The idea is that ranks will not give you an unstoppable edge so much as a distinct advantage, much like how it's done in the Battlefield series and other such games. Of course, Distension ranks will still make a much bigger difference than they do in those games, but again, it just won't be as significant. The idea is to make it so that people who're starting late still have a chance.
Of course, this second one in particular will require a great deal of tweaking. But we'll make it work.
More to come as things progress.

I have completely redesigned the way that the site works, which you may or may not have noticed already. The site looks almost the same, but the way it functions has been vastly improved. New features include: ship rp requirement charts, an improved rankings page, an upgraded upgrades page, and a new individual player statistics page! Enjoy!

I would personally like to apologize to all distension players, as well as the Trench War playerbase in general. This scheduling has been a difficult one to create. But it has been settled.
